About the role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Insurance Broker Assistant & Claims Coordinator to support Australian insurance operations. The candidate will be responsible for handling end-to-end claims management, policy servicing, renewals, endorsements, client coordination, and backend insurance operations while ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle end-to-end insurance claims processing from claim lodgement to settlement.
  • Process new business policies, renewals, endorsements, amendments, and invoicing.
  • Coordinate with insurers, clients, and internal teams for smooth claim and policy management.
  • Manage claims, enquiries, and operational inboxes efficiently.
  • Follow up with insurance companies for pending documents, approvals, and claim updates.
  • Perform general administrative activities related to insurance operations and premium funding.
  • Ensure timely resolution of client queries while maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and insurance documentation.
  • Support operational compliance and conduct audits of processed files for quality assurance.
  • Assist in managing team KPIs, operational reporting, and workflow coordination.

Required skills

  • Strong understanding of Australian general insurance processes.
  • Experience in claims handling, policy servicing, and insurance operations.
  • Good knowledge of renewals, endorsements, invoicing, and compliance processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and manage work within deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and backend operational systems.

Preferred qualifications

  • ANZIIF Tier 2 certification preferred.
  • IRDA certification will be an added advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
