About the role

The Junior Paraplanner plays a crucial supporting role in the financial planning process, working closely with senior paraplanners and financial advisors to ensure the delivery of high-quality financial advice to clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Research and analysis: research financial products, market trends, and investment opportunities; analyse financial data and prepare reports for clients.
  • Client data collection: assist in gathering and organising client information, including financial statements, tax documents, and personal goals and objectives.
  • Financial modelling: create financial models and projections to support the development of comprehensive financial plans.
  • Compliance and documentation: ensure that all documentation and compliance requirements are met, including the preparation of Statements of Advice (SOAs) and compliance checks.
  • Recommendations: contribute to the formulation of financial recommendations in collaboration with senior team members.
  • Client interaction: assist in client meetings and communication to address enquiries and clarify financial plans.
  • Administrative support: support senior paraplanners and financial advisors, including scheduling meetings and maintaining client records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of financial products and markets.
  • Familiarity with financial planning software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to compliance.
  • Relevant certifications such as the Diploma of Financial Planning (DFP) are beneficial.
