About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Paraplanner to join our financial planning team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality paraplanning support to financial advisors, assist in preparing client advice documents, and ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with financial advisors to prepare high-quality advice documents, including Statement of Advice (SoA), Record of Advice (RoA), and other client-facing reports.
- Conduct in-depth research on investment products, superannuation funds, and financial strategies to support client recommendations.
- Perform financial modelling and analysis to assist in developing tailored advice strategies.
- Undertake compliance checks to ensure all documentation aligns with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Assist in preparing client meeting materials, attend meetings when required, and document key discussion points and follow-ups.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial planning.
Required skills
- Strong understanding of financial planning concepts, particularly SMSF regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and research skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in financial planning tools/software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Experience working with Australian financial planning processes and documentation (preferred).
